6. What are our hiring options through Career Consultants?
Employers have a number of hiring methods. Hiring an individual on a temporary
basis, could result in a short-term or
long-term assignment depending on the client's needs. They can also elect to
hire on a temporary to hire basis, which is an opportunity for the
employer and the employee to determine over a period of time if this is a match. The terms for Career Consultants is 520
billed hours
for our temporary division and 1,040 billed hours for our contract staffing division.
Another option is the direct hire method. This is when they want a recruiter
to conduct a search to find the best person for the position. They are
requesting the employee work for their company immediately. There are other
alternatives such as outsourcing, Vendor on Premise programs and additional
hiring options for the employer to chose from.
A customer contacts a staffing service requesting an
employee to come on board as a "permanent" employee immediately. The process
consists of the following: complete job description is taken from the
customer by the recruiter and a search is conducted to find the best
possible candidate to match the customer's requirements and the customer's
corporate culture. The candidate goes through an interview process and once
a decision has been made, a start date for the employee is determined. Once
the employee begins employment with the client, they are working for the
client and are not on the staffing services payroll.
Temp to Hire – Some of our client companies will hire an individual
on a temp to hire basis. These positions could lead to full-time or regular
employment. Your temporary assignment actually becomes a working interview.
Staffing firm employees work for a customer during a trial period during
which both the employee and the customer consider establishing a "permanent"
employment relationship. You are eligible for regular or full-time
employment once you have completed 520 billed hours. The Contract division requires 1,040
billed hours.
You have the opportunity to interview with the client company during the
three-month period as well as the client company reviewing your performance,
attitude and qualifications. .
Temp - A staffing firm hires its own employees and assigns them to
support or supplement a customer's work force in situations involving
employee absences, temporary skill shortages, seasonal workloads, special
projects and also as a way to compliment their core staff and increase
productivity.
Vendor on Premise (VOP)
The Vendor On Premise program is very popular with employers who have a
large number of temporaries or contract employees at their site. Career
Consultants has
many years experience working with VOP programs and we can supply qualified
managers and supervisors to assist with any VOP.
